Leading a new wave of digital transformation in football marketing, FIFA Digital Skills has recently celebrated a landmark achievement, as the programme - aimed at enhancing digital proficiency within the football community – announced that over 1,000 delegates from 150 Member Associations worldwide have now taken part.

The Sessions

FIFA Digital Skills has successfully conducted a series of informative live virtual sessions featuring esteemed digital organisations such as Meta and Genius Sports.

Meta's insightful session focused on optimising social media content strategy, equipping delegates with skills to craft engaging content. Genius Sports emphasised the significance of data-driven decision-making, heralding a transformative approach to strategic planning in football.

Adding to the digital literacy endeavour, FIFA's Communications Department presented a valuable session on their Social Media Protection Service, underlining the importance of a secure online presence for the football community.

Parallel to these accomplishments, FIFA Digital Skills was privileged to participate in the FIFA Forward Conferences in Riyadh, Tokyo, and Dubai.

These gatherings brought together delegates from across Asia, providing a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and promoting cooperation among the Member Associations.

FIFA Forward is a programme designed to redistribute income to all its Member Associations for the development of football. Its latest iteration, FIFA Forward 3.0, was launched earlier this year, promising more robust support for football development globally.

The Future

Looking ahead, FIFA Digital Skills is gearing up for more live virtual sessions with industry giants like Greenfly, the Deloitte Sports Business Group, and WebRepublic. The sessions will explore various aspects, including Greenfly expertise in social media content development, Deloitte's insights into digital transformation within football operations, and WebRepublic's strategies for advanced digital marketing.

The achievement by FIFA Digital Skills, alongside its influential role at the FIFA Forward Conferences, is a testament to FIFA's commitment to nurturing a digitally proficient, future-ready football community. As the world continues its digital journey, FIFA remains committed to enhancing digital literacy and fostering collaboration among its Member Associations, ensuring a bright and digitally interconnected future for football.
